Moving!!
Okay so I've decided to go in a new direction with my blog. This blog will no longer be operating once I have the other one set up. I am creating a YA books only blog because I read so much more of those! So please follow me there at www.sarahsshelf.com and also on twitter: search SarahsShelf. I hope to see all of you there! I will be hosting many of the book blogging memes that are out there. I'd like to promote communication between myself and my followers so please participate in the memes and leave your comments. I will post on here when Sarah's Shelf will be officially up.

Unearthly by Cynthia Hard
Published: January 4th 2011 by HarperTeen
Series: Unearthly #1
Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn't easy.
Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place—and out of place at the same time. Because there's another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara's less angelic side.
As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make—between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?
Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart.(Goodreads)

Exciting News!!
I have some very exciting news that I can't wait to share with all of you. As some of you know I write reviews for nocturnereads.com, but now I will also be writing reviews for nightowlreviews.com!! I am very excited about this because I find that the latter website has a larger fan base and more continuous traffic which I believe will be better in furthering my reviewing career.
Also, I am now a part of NetGalley which allows me to find ARC's and I am so excited for this because I want to be able to give everyone my views on upcoming books and not just the books that have already been out; that have gotten a chance to be reviewed by everyone or that has been out for so long that it has already been read by most.
So please check out both websites and I will try to keep you updated on what reviews will be where. All of my reviews will be posted here with a link to the review to either website if required. I am going to try to keep most of the reviews I do for this blog as books strictly for this blog!

Series: Kara Gillian #3
Homicide detective Kara Gillian has a special talent: she can sense the "arcane" in our world, and there's quite a bit of it, even in Beaulac, Louisiana. She's also a summoner of demons, and works on a task force that deals with supernatural crimes. Her partners are attractive and smart FBI agents, but they're not summoners, and they're not telling Kara why they are on this special force with her.
To make things worse, Kara has pledged herself to one of the most powerful of demons-a Demon Lord-who helped save her partner's life, but now expects things in return. Meanwhile, she's trying to solve a string of murders that are somehow tied together by money, sex, rock music and...mud. But how can she concentrate on the case when she's not even sure who-or what-her partners are? (Goodreads)
